The customer was looking to relocate rebar dowels that would be drilled 3” into the concrete and did not wish to strike any reinforcement in the process. With potential post tension cables and rebar being present in this slab, GPRS made sure to be as accurate and precise as possible. In order to give our customer the most information and to ensure that the customer does not hit anything important, GPRS provided bright green boxes to better communicate where GPRS wants the customer to drill. For a project like this, GPRS is able to determine several key factors of the concrete slab such as: reinforcement spacing, reinforcement depth, slab depth, and approximate reinforcement size in the concrete.
