Utility Locate Prior To Soil Samples
- Denver, Colorado

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was contacted by Sanborn Head & Associates Inc. to locate underground utilities for environmental research. GPRS was called out because the customer needed to take soil samples and was having boring done to collect the soil. GPR was ideal for this application because the boring technicians were able to proceed with their work right after GPRS’ field technician finished scanning.

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems used a 400 MHz antenna for this application and a Radio Detection (RD) device to detect electrical current deep in the soil. GPRS’ 400 MHz antenna was ideal because of its accurate deep penetration and the open clear area the technician had to work.
