Rebar Located With Radar Scan At Air Force Base
- Cheyenne, Wyoming

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was called out by Mechanical Systems in Cheyenne, Wyoming to perform a radar scan to locate rebar in a 24” concrete wall inside Warren Air Force Base. The mechanical technician was asked to core drill multiple 1 ½” holes through the wall. The core drill was not allowed to hit any reinforcement in the slab according to the United States Air Force. This job was unique due to the extra sensitive and strong security. GPRS was able to scan through the entire wall using both sides of the wall for deeper and more accurate readings.

All findings were marked directly on the concrete at customers request for easy interpretation. GPR was ideal for this application due to the active work site in the surrounding areas. GPR emits no radiation and is safe for others to work in area near scan location.
