Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was recently contacted by Brinkmann Constructors of Broomfield Colorado to identify the concrete thickness in multiple locations on an existing runway in Denver Colorado. The customer was demolishing the old runway and needed to let their subcontractor know the approximate depth that the concrete was before demolition began. They chose to use GPRS to accomplish this task.

GPRS Identifies Concrete Thickness At Old Stapleton Runway - Broomfield, ColoradoGround Penetrating Radar Systems was able to calibrate their machine at a fixed location and give the customer the depth of the concrete in multiple locations. All of the findings were marked directly on the surface in real time with no waiting for films to be developed as with traditional concrete x-ray. GPRS was able to scan several areas quickly and efficiently. Ground Penetrating Radar is the new way to x-ray.

GPRS can not only give concrete depths in Denver, we offer other non-destructive testing such as locating post tension cables in apartment buildings in Fort Collins, Colorado, or finding underground storage tanks (UST) in Grand Junction.
